Drunken blur of lights on unfair ground,
Where my dilemmas take hostile shape,
And tabooed emotions are found.
It is where all questions come to a crossroad,
With answers that you dread to face,
That could mean my pain and isolation,
Even my ambition I have ceased to chase.
It is when adolescence carves its way into childhood,
Innocence massacred, for one night stands,
Remorse resurrected, for poisonous sugar,
And I’m left lonely, head and choice in hands.
And we sit and wonder what to worry about next,
When haunting smiles and vindictive lies
Swarm and someone gets vexed.
You’re curious of what is to come,
The spiteful vortex of confusion and game,
As this life becomes more than subtle addiction,
As teens deal with evasive shame.
It’s everyday to me-careless chronicles that no one shall see,
Hidden secrets that shall stay locked within me.
